Make a ring
Come along for a 2 hour workshop and learn how to manipulate wire with pliers, hammers and learn to make a ring without soldering.
This is suitable for beginners and is the perfect introduction to jewellery making.
Lots of copper will be provided and there will be silver available to buy on the day.
Tea and biscuits provided.

Wirksworth Festival is a leading rural arts festival where everyone can enjoy great art in a unique and inspiring setting.
I am exhibiting at the Wirksworth Festival on Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th September 10-5pm as part of the Art & Architecture trail and will be in the Designer Maker Market. Find work over the weekend exhibited in houses, historic buildings, churches, shop windows, gardens, pubs and public spaces.

I know it is the summer holidays and I will betaking mine from Thursday but thinking ahead for Autumn and filling those colder days (pretty autumnal weather today!!) come along to the fantastic Sip Club in Stretford for some craft activities from local makers such as myself.

Holmfirth Art Week is one of the largest open Art Exhibitions in the UK and runs for a week fund raising for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Holmfirth Art Week has a main exhibition at the Civic Hall and includes a Fringe Event a series of local businesses, Galleries, a church, and artist studios all opening their doors to exhibit work from a variety of artists and makers. Disciplines represented at The 2015 Fringe will be textiles, painting, photography, jewellery, sculpture and more!
There are 21 venues in the fringe event this year and I am delighted to have been asked to exhibit at VENUE 14 Mountfield Open House (pictured above) home to Textile ArtIst Dionne Swift.

I am fully rested after my recent holiday and full of energy to start on what is probably now one of my busiest times of year and yes even busier than Christmas!!
It is the season for local Arts Trails open studio events in the coming weeks. First up is the Heatons Arts Trail where I will be exhibiting at ceramicist Tone Von Krogh’s house & studio 26th & 27th June. Then on to Sale Arts Trail which I co organise and will have a pop up jewellery shop at Coasters Cafe in Sale.
