#saleartstrail needs votes this saturday at @watersidearts

After the first hugely successful Sale Arts Trail this summer we are looking at taking it forward making it an annual arts event on the Sale calendar.

We have applied for funding from ThriveTrafford which is a locality based funding scheme working to get local residents into Sale Town Centre. We got through the first stage and the second stage takes place this Saturday at Sale Waterside from 12-3pm. You have to be a Sale resident or work in Sale to vote so please spread the word and get your friends, relatives, colleagues, aunties, uncles anyone interested in the arts to vote and help us to establish Sale Arts Trail on the map.

“Residents of the Sale area, covering the wards of Ashton upon Mersey, Sale Moor, Brooklands, Priory, St Marys and Bucklow St Martins (Sale), are invited to drop into the event at Sale Waterside Arts Centre anytime between 12pm and 3pm.

Trafford residents aged 16 and over, who live or work in the Sale locality area are eligible to vote.”

Another great weekend at #HeatonsArtTrail @TonevonKrogh

Before I forget and get engrossed in the August wind down zone here are some pictures from last weekends Heatons Art Trail. I spent Sat & Sun in the fabulous company of Tone Von Krogh and Dionne Swift for open house and studio at Tone’s. We had lots of visitors through the door including loyal customers and lots of new faces over the weekend making the trail a roaring success. Watch this space for more events in the Heatons !

Sunday at #saleartstrail

It is well over a week since the first Sale Arts Trail finished and what a weekend it was!

This is the first event that I organised alongside Sophie Nixon and Sarah Malone and actually exhibited in too! An accomplishment on all our behalf’s!!

Below are some pictures from the second day where I was stationed in Minikin on Northenden Road in Sale along with Zoe Docherty’s paintings, Sarah Mitch photographic canvas’s and John Slade ceramics. It was busy in Minikin as we had a drop in session where Sale Trailers could make a ring from wire and beads or watch John on his potters wheel and he even let kids loose on the wheel too on Sunday! Overall it was a fabulous weekend aided by great weather and we even had a visit from Snow White at Minikin!!!

I managed to catch the talk given by artist David Gledhill too at Waterside Arts Centre which gave great insight into his work and there was also a lively chat after the talk which is always a good sign!

Through the activities in Minikin on Saturday and Sunday we managed raise money for St Anne’s hospice.

If you visited Sale Arts Trail and would like to give us feedback email saleartsm33@gmail for a feedback form.

Watch this space for the next event!

Jewellery Workshops at Jo Lavelle Jewellery

I have started to run jewellery workshops from my new studio at home. Currently I have taken bookings for one to one workshops or two to one workshops. These workshops are an intensive day of learning to make jewellery and are usually tailored to suit the students needs and skills level.

I am arranging some group workshops in groups of 5 and these will be shorter workshops covering a variety of jewellery making.

Here are some photographs of Lucy a student that came for a workshop last Wednesday.

If you have any questions please contact me through my contact page.
